The webseries in Basque can be followed in eitb.eus from Thursday, December 6, and it deals with a family threatened by eviction that decides to become youtuber.
This Friday, December 7, the new Basque webserie ‘Gutuberrak’ from eitb.eus has been presented at the Durango Fair. Produced by the same team of Nomofobiak, together with the production company Erronka Berriak and the participation of EiTB, it is a transmedia project that counts among its cast of actors with Axen Egaña, Amaia Lizarralde, Olatz Beobide, Nerea Arriola, Ioritz Tapia, Liah Regalado and Edurne Azkarate. The entire team has been at the EiTB Gunea in Durango today and Iñako Gurrutxaga, head of content at eitb.eus, the director of the Olatz Beobide series and screenwriter Pedro Fuentes have presented the project.
The series tells the story of a family that is threatened by eviction. To get the necessary money, the only thing they can think of is to become youtuber. Merging reality with criticism, there are hard circumstances, and the program will try to portray those difficult moments with touches of humor.
With all the narrative elements available today, we can follow the alterations of the characters through Instagram, Facebook or Twitter. Likewise, tools such as WhatsApp or Skype will serve as interaction between the characters. In this natural way, we can see everything that the characters live beyond the screen. With this new way of narrating, the viewer feels more closely and real what happens in fiction.
As of December 6, ‘Gutuberrak’ can be viewed online at eitb.eus at https://www.eitb.eus/gutuberrak/. The viewer will be able to interact with them online and share opinions and feelings. The series will last five weeks and each week will be offered four chapters. On Sundays, the summary of the week can be seen in EiTB Nahieran.
